MC for a wedding reception

The ceremony gets people married. The reception is where the room has to be looked after.

I can celebrate the wedding and MC the party, or MC only. Either way you get a run sheet, a person who has spoken to the speakers, and a night that does not drift.

What I take on

A run sheet built with you, the venue and the photographer.

Welcoming people and telling them what is happening.

Introducing speakers, and helping the nervous ones before they stand up.

Watching the time so dinner, speeches and dancing land where they should.

Keeping the toasts kind.

Being the person the venue and the band can ask.

What I will not do

Roast the couple.

Drag people up for games they have already refused.

Talk over the meal.

If you want a celebrant who stays, say so when you enquire. One person from the ceremony to the last speech is often calmer than a handover.
